Born in London, Simon spent much of his childhood divided between living in New York and attending school in England.  Following his formal education, he completed a three year Photography, Film  & TV course in Bristol.

Based in London, he worked for almost 10 years on documentaries, corporate films and current affairs programmes, traveling the world extensively and filming many historic events, such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Romanian Revolution, collapse of the Soviet Empire and the first Gulf War, before moving to New York City in 1992 and then on to Los Angeles in 1996.

He has the resources and experience to mix formats and create a distinctive visual style. Whether you wish to shoot an interview on Super 8 or a re-construction on the latest HD format, mount a camera on a roller coaster, the wing of a plane or simply light a scene beautifully, he has the understanding and talent to interpret a director’s ideas.

Simon holds UK, USA and Australian citizenship.  He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and children.
